About Our Client

Our client is one of the leading international building consultancies based in Central London which has an extensive Project/Programme Management discipline. They operate in various sectors including private and public works. They are currently looking for an experienced Programme Manager who has a strong track record in delivering large capital expenditure programmes either within the private or public sectors.

Job Description

Main Duties:

  • Work with senior stakeholders to define and shape the estates strategy, including prioritising the order of works based on business needs.
  • Produce a programme of works to implement this estates strategy including required budgetary considerations.
  • Ensure the delivery of programme of projects to agreed time, cost and quality, focus on programmes of significant size and with complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Review design / fit-out strategies and work with procurement to set performance requirements, and sourcing strategy for third party contractors.
  • Work with procurement on commercial negotiations of Supply Chain Partners and/or Professional advisors required to deliver the Programme(s)
  • Liaise with Estates and Project Delivery Managers, where necessary, to facilitate programme delivery. On some aspects of programme delivery it is expected that the Estates team will lead a particular project.
  • Oversee the management of the construction transaction process within the estates plan to final delivery.
  • Share sufficient information to manage the capital budget and provide detailed reporting to the Finance Director.
  • Manage the property interfaces with the other parts of business (e.g. HR, Operations, IT etc.) and with property suppliers.
  • Actively manage interface across service lines and with all business and programme stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Manage the relationship with Programme Delivery contractors.
  • Provide property papers in support of business cases and presenting where necessary.
  • Ensure that cost estimates for the delivery of capital projects are completed.
  • Ensure that risk and issue management procedures are robust at both a programme and project level.
  • Provide data to monitor financial and service performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Share best practice and knowledge throughout the Programme Delivery team where appropriate.
  • Manage Programme team resources across projects

Academic or Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (or Equivalent);
- Extensive experience of Programme Management best practice and Qualification (e.g Prince);
- Full membership of the RICS or equivalent.
