About Our Client

Dodington Park Estate is on the border of South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Dodington House is a beautifully restored Grade 1 listed 18th century Mansion currently being used as a private residence. The surrounding Capability Brown Parkland has had significant additions to become the impressive Estate it is today.

The Estate is managed by a highly dedicated team who work collaboratively with the Owners to raise the highest possible standards of quality, which is evident wherever you look, from the impeccable grounds to the stunning buildings.

Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Property to lead the large in house property department. There is a team of 50 people across a number of specialisms working together to deliver a programme of ongoing maintenance and renovation works, keeping the highest attention to detail, delivering truly delightful work.

This role will work closely with the Property Owner, Estates Director and Head of Operations to plan and programme the renovation schemes, maintenance and capital projects. Using prior experience of working with Historic buildings you will be able to advise on suitable methods of conservation, renovation and maintenance on the Estate.

The projects managed by the property department will range vastly in scale and budget, everything from small area refurbishments through to very large conservation works.

The Successful Applicant

The Head of Property at Dodington Park will have experience of managing large multi-skilled teams and be driven by motivating and developing people. We are looking for a Property Professional with a real collaborative management style. Both with your teams and with your internal customers as you will be working closely with the Owners who have a keen interest in the development of their Estate.

Other key areas of experience required are:

  • You must have a high attention to detail and be focused on delivering quality across all areas of Property.
  • You will ideally have a strong background working within Heritage Property, particularly Grade 1 listed buildings.
  • You will be a qualified Building Surveyor or Construction Manager ideally holding MRICS or MCIOB
  • Be experienced in developing and managing project budgets
  • Experience of managing multiple large projects at one time.

What's on Offer

Basic Salary of c£60,000 + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare Package.
