Job Description

Reporting to the EMEA EHS Lead your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the expert and advising on all Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability, Food Hygiene and Business Risk issues
  • Liaising with key internal and client personnel, monitoring and providing support, advice and expertise to operational teams at all levels.
  • Organising risk assessments and ensuring they meet legal requirements.
  • Working with operation teams to carry out root-cause analysis and investigations and then action corrective measures
  • Carry out risk assessments, safety walks, and accident investigations as necessary
  • Formulate, implement, monitor and review EHS plans (including the setting of objectives, agreeing priorities and establishing adequate systems for performance management) to ensure implementation of legislative requirements.
  • Manage Business Continuity processes and support testing of Business Continuity Plans.
  • Presentations to management and produce reports as required.
  • Conduct training for the wider operational staff and occasionally third parties
  • Maintain an effective relationship with the regulatory authorities as required.
  • Promote and support a health, safety, environment and sustainability culture which secures effective implementation of policy, procedures and responsibilities.

The Successful Applicant

You must be NEBOSH qualified with a sound knowledge and understanding of Quality, Health & Safety and an in-depth understanding of the legislation and best practice in Environmental and Sustainability.

Ideally you will have worked in a regulated or manufacturing environment and have a good background in auditing and risk assessments and implementing and maintaining Health & Safety systems. You must be a good communicator who is able to develop client relationships.
