A leading UK top ten contractor with a large UK wide Social Housing providing arm with offices based regionally throughout the country.

Job Description

The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for the H&S Management system and driving improvement in performance.

Duties will include:

  • Co-ordinate the work of the Health and Safety Committee ensuring it meets regularly, identifies and reviews all relevant Health and Safety matters, minutes are taken and actions followed through.
  • Arrange appropriate Health and Safety training.
  • Encourage a belief across the organisation that takes health and safety matters seriously and one where everyone understands their responsibilities and duties and is committed to fulfilling them
  • Assist members of staff with the development and review of risk. assessments and where appropriate prepare risk assessments for the work undertaken.

The Successful Applicant

Candidates must have worked in a similar role as a Health & Safety Manager and must be qualified to NEBOSH Certificate level.

A practical approach to Health and Safety is important.

Previous experience in the property and housing industry is desirable.

Commutable to Sheffield is desirable.
