About Our Client

My client has a large presence within the education sector across London, and are now looking to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner into the team.

Job Description

As the HR Business Partner you will provide support with resourcing, employee relations, learning and development across your client group. This role will require the you to make frequent site visits across London. This an operational role which will involve a high level of Employment relations cases, in addition you will hold the following responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering a HR Plan, in liaison with the HR Team and Finance Director
  • Advising and jointly reviewing/designing and establishing key people processes such as performance management, appraisal cycle, capability, disciplinary, salary review, resourcing processes and back to basic ways of working to provide consistency
  • Providing proactive employee relations advice and coaching to managers on organisation design, grievances, disciplinarians, sickness absence, capability etc
  • Coaching and supporting on HR guidelines and policies
  • Manage any restructures or reorganisations within your group
  • Coaching and supporting with managers on TUPE and restructuring issues post transfer
  • Working with line managers to ensure effective succession planning and continued quality of hire at all levels through the creation of a recruitment toolkit
  • To support on the design of a Recruitment process including a Group PSL, seeking feedback and implementing across the Federation
  • Working with outsourcing provision to ensure the smooth running of Federation processes such as payroll, salary and other pay related letters
  • To participate in, and deliver HR projects as required
  • Provide central function HR support as and when required

The Successful Applicant

As the HR Business Partner you will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of current employment law requirements to support complex employee relations cases and ensure annual review of the performance review procedure and ensure any changes part of a consultation process. In addition you will display the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and gravitas to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good team player and skilled at building relationships
  • Accustomed to working to tight reporting deadlines
  • Demonstration of a problem - solving attitude
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to manage staff and motivate people to achieve goals
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Essential: experience in a HR Business Partner role
  • Essential: experience of managing Employee relations issues and restructures
  • Essential: having worked with stakeholders at a senior level
  • Essential: Degree

What's on Offer

This exciting opportunity is offered on a salary of £45,000 - £50,000. Please also note this role will require travel across London.
