About Our Client
My client is a leading third party logistics / distribution business with a number of locations nationally. With an ever growing network of contracts, this business have a solid reputation for delivering excellent service within some really challenging contracts. This division is a growing division with some brand name customers of which you will be working on one of the largest and most high profile.
The role of HR Business partner is a pivotal role within the business. Working with a client group of between 800 and 1000 employees you will manage a team of HR Managers and Officers, mentoring and developing them in their HR careers and knowledge, particularly with Union and contract issues. You will also act as a true Business Partner to Key senior Stakeholders at director level, and provide support and guidance to them from a people perspective. This is a full generalist role so the role will involve some operational HR from an escalation perspective but mainly focuses on the strategic direction of the Business Unit and how the people strategy can support the growth of the business. This includes talent development and retention, national union agreements, new business wins , performance and development and upskilling the leadership team. The role can be based from anywhere in the East Midlands between Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire or West Midlands in the M6 corridor.
The Successful Applicant
To apply for the role of HR Business Partner you should have a proven track record of success in a multi site high level HR Manager or HR Business Partner role. Highly commercially focused, you will have a proven track record of success in building up key relationships with customers and key stakeholders. You should have Union experience and you will have worked with demanding deadlines and service levels previously. You should have some HR team management experience and be able to demonstrate some real added value examples.
