About Our Client

Leading law firm based in Central London, offering professional advice from a host of experienced solicitors

Job Description

 Ensure that all legislative and operational procedures and standards are applied to provide a consistent and safe service for all employees and clients

 Provide a structure and process for recruitment and selection of new staff ensuring that the company's recruitment processes are consistently applied with integrity

 Ensure all staff are fully inducted into business

 Put in place training and development plans to deliver solutions and interventions that develop skills at all levels

 Create and manage talent pipeline through succession planning with Heads of Departments and their teams

 Develop and implement the company's HR strategy

 Offer practical, 'hands on' support for management with any HR issues, developing and progressing people management solutions to achieve objectives

 Use specialist expertise and experience to ensure business fulfils its responsibilities under employment law, including Disclosure and Barring certificates and Return to Work

 Manage, develop and advise on absence management cases in line with policy and procedures

 Process and record all holiday and absences for the team

 Undertake project work to support the development of HR practices and processes as part of delivery of the company's HR strategy

 Ensure that comprehensive records (training and personnel) are kept on each member of staff and that their records are kept in compliance with the Data Protection Act and the National Minimum Standards

The Successful Applicant

Must be sufficiently experienced to take a leading role within the firm and have the ability to handle a varied HR workload. Must be willing to adapt to change and technological advances within the firm.

Essential requirements

 Excellent track record as a successful HR Manager / Senior HR Adviser (ideally within a law firm, professional services or financial services)

 Degree and fully CIPD qualified

 Minimum 5 years post qualification experience

 Excellent time management and organisational skills

 Exceptional communication, team building and people skills

 Employee Relations experience

 Employment Law acumen

 Quality and Results focused

 Strong commercial focus

 Communicator and influencer

 Enthusiastic, motivational, someone who strives for excellence

 Organised, able to judge and prioritise

 Honest, transparent and consistent
