About Our Client

Our client is a large Chemical Manufacturer who provide raw material chemical compounds to various industries and have a client s base from SME to Blue Chip. The organisation have multiple sites across the Midlands and are looking for a HSE Manager to join their senior Management team.

The business has seen steady growth over the past 5 years and their HSE agenda is a pivotal part of their strategy as production levels increase

Job Description

The HSE Manager will report directly into the MD and have the following criteria:

  • Able drive, lead and promote the improvement of HSE standards across its operations and activities.
  • Able to drive, lead and promote HSE cultural and behavioural change for the business
  • Able to reduce year on year targets and objectives i.e the number of accidents, incidents and unwanted events
  • Experience of dealing with the HSE and other external compliance functions
  • The ability to meet all moral, legal and corporate obligations.
  • The passion to keep abreast of changes in safety, health and environment legislation and determine its interpretation

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

* Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards

* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent

* Experience with lower tier COMAH regulations (minimum)

* Experience of developing and driving a Safety Culture

* Experience in behavioural safety

* Excellent communicator
