Job Description

  • Carry out Financial Inclusion assessments on all new tenancies
  • ensure rent is minimized, resident income maximized and tenancy sustainability improved
  • Produce and serve formal legal notices advising of impending court action
  • set up and maintain direct debits and take telephone payments
  • Investigate local authority housing benefit over payment decision
  • Monitor, record and action housing benefit awards
  • Manage the fair rent applications
  • Carry out tracing and Land Registry searches
  • Prepare performance reports
  • Develop relationships

The Successful Applicant

  • Candidate will have proven track record in the Social Housing sector
  • A good knowledge of the legal framework relating to arrears and debt recovery
  • Good knowledge of social housing benefits
  • High standard of literacy, numeracy, written and verbal communication skills
