Job Description

The main purpose of the Site Manager will be to safely and profitably planned, manage, and control the day to day site activities. And to deliver planned works successfully kitchens, doors, roofing for example.

They will need to meet/exceed expectations in accordance with company policies and procedures, within the time frames and budgets set.

The main responsibilities of the Site Manager based in Cambridge will be:

  • Pre-plan the build route and pedestrian segregation in conjunction with the Construction Manager
  • Manage the site in accordance with company Health, Safety and Welfare Policy and Procedures and with current HSE legislation; ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and the Health & Safety Plan
  • Induct new starters on site; ensuring they hold the relevant CSCS Card and that they have a full understanding of the company Health, Safety and Welfare Policy and Procedures and Site Rules and of their employer's Method Statements
  • Ensure that the site is adequately secured at all times, that safe and acceptable working conditions are maintained on site and safety and welfare facilities are maintained to a good standard; signing the daily inspection sheet
  • Carry out statutory workplace inspections
  • Constantly reinforce the Health & Safety culture, striving for an accident free site

Quality:

  • Strive to achieve excellence and recognition
  • Carry out routine inspections to ensure that instructions and works are carried out, the specification and site presentation requirements and to
  • Progressively and formally inspect all stages
  • Complete Monthly KPI's for sub-contractors and suppliers

People Management:

  • Lead and motivate the site team (direct employees and sub-contractors) to achieve the required objectives
  • Ensure that direct employees on site receive timely feedback on their performance and are trained and developed accordingly
  • Oversee the training and development of trainees on site

  • The ideal candidate will be a forward thinking individual that is willing to take a hands on approach.
  • Someone who is willing to show commitment.
  • Experience of delivering repairs and maintenance schemes to timescales and within budget is desirable
  • You must have knowledge of the Property and housing sector especially across decent homes type works.
