About Our Client
The client is a fast growing third party logistics provider involved in freight, warehousing and transport
Leading, managing and motivating the site warehouse / logistic / transport operations.
Management of Assistant Depot Manager / Team of drivers / Warehouse staff
Managing attendance, performance and conduct.
Setting and monitoring achievement of KPIs for Depot Transport Operations based on customer agreements and company standards.
Building a customer focused team environment across the Depot.
Regularly liaising with Account Management, Business Development and Warehouse Operations teams to ensure customer needs are met, problems are resolved and Transport activities meet customer requirements.
Assisting the Regional Depots Controller with the development of the Depot Transport strategy.
Ensuring overall use of Transport resources, and route management are maximised and consistent.
Regularly auditing the Depot to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, operating effectively and safely.
Managing change as needed.
Implementing company standards and ensuring legal compliance across the site.
The Successful Applicant
The Depot Manager should be CPC qualified
A proven background managing transport, logistics and operations for a fast paced warehouse,
Experience of recommending and implementing business change,
Successful experience of setting and managing a team to meet KPIs,
A background in the food or beverage industry, ideally working with fresh or chilled produce, is
An ability to deputise for the regional manager/director would be an advantage.
What's on Offer
The role will be on a rolling day contract of Â£175 - 250 pd
