About Our Client

National Third sector client based in Newcastle.

Job Description

Main duties will include:

  • overall responsibility for leading, managing and developing the Finance Team
  • overall responsibility for financial procedures, systems and controls
  • developing, implementing and monitoring a financial management plan to provide for long-term financial planning
  • forecasting and managing company cash flow
  • producing monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts and other financial & statistical information as required
  • preparing the annual budget
  • drawing up, controlling and managing the company payroll

The Successful Applicant

In order to be successful you must have the below experience:

  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc) and/or significant experience of working in a senior finance role
  • Experience of line management and presenting financial information at a senior level
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Desirable areas include the below:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of managing a wider remit than just finance (buildings/administration etc)
  • Experience of reporting at Board level
  • Project management experience
