Job Description

Key requirement will be to ensure that each audit project is effectively managed from planning to completion and that management actions to improve control / process efficiency are agreed.

Reporting into the Audit Manager:

  • Plan individual audit projects in conjunction with Audit Manager and other stakeholders
  • Agree clear scope / terms of reference and a work plan for each audit project to address key risks and controls
  • Liaison with other Internal Audit staff and management in other countries
  • Undertake audit work on projects assigned from the annual Audit Plan
  • Ensure that all assignments are conducted on time and in accordance with required quality standards
  • Produce recommendations to ensure timely resolution of issues / business improvement
  • Conduct ad-hoc investigations and advisory projects as required
  • Financial controls testing as part of the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) programme
  • Work as part of the Internal Audit function either as team lead or team member.

The Successful Applicant

  • University Degree
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or Qualified Internal Auditor
  • Clean Driving License
  • Minimum 3 years 'Big 4' accountancy practice training, to qualification
  • Post qualification experience (minimum 1 to 2 years) including Internal Audit (either in Industry or Practice)
  • Strong experience of the Sarbanes Oxley approach to embedding key financial controls across the business
  • Experience of IT audit / Data Analysis preferred
  • Fluent in English with proficiency in another European language desirable
  • Good understanding of audit principles and methodologies
  • Good understanding of risk management principles
  • Good understanding of financial control across all transaction cycles
  • Influencing / negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Ability to analyse data to produce quality findings and recommendations
  • Effective at building business relationships
  • Good communication skills (verbal, presentation and report writing)
  • Deep understanding of business issues and business drivers
