Job Description

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing an internal communications and engagement plan for the organisations new transformation programme
  • Leading a short term audience insight project, understanding more clearly how and when staff access information
  • Developing an evaluation strategy, using quantitative data and qualitative methods to understand the reach and impact of the communications channels
  • Leading the internal communications activities for various departmental campaigns working closely with the HR, commercial, IT and other teams within the department
  • Deputising for the Head of the Team, as needed and being able to communicate confidently and openly with senior leaders when required

The Successful Applicant

You will work closely with the transformation leads and the Chair of the departmental Staff Group. The role and the team sit central to agenda's set out by senior stakeholders so the ability to communicate, persuade and troubleshoot at a higher level is a must to be successful within this role. Internally the organisation has launched a new transformation programme that is looking at how they are structured and how they can continue to deliver senior stakeholders priorities as effectively as possible.

  • An experienced internal communication and engagement specialist with a proven track record in helping to build high performing teams
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering employee engagement plans to support business transformation and change programmes
  • Able to communicate clearly and persuasively with an ability to influence at the highest levels, and help others navigate ambiguity
  • Experience of delivering research programmes and managing external contractors
