About Our Client

The client is a market leading multinational organisation that is listed on the FTSE.

Job Description

The successful candidate will interpret group accounting policies, processes and procedures as they relate to SOX compliance and Internal Controls.

  • Complete the detailed controls testing by assessing the design and operating effectiveness of key controls as defined within the SOX Internal controls environment
  • Develop, confirm and present logical conclusions to findings and update documentation in response to changes, including remediation alternatives and/or business process improvements where required
  • Identify risks and opportunities to strengthen internal control procedures based upon knowledge of processes
  • Ensures all work is performed in compliance with professional standards
  • Communicate with Management and make them aware of significant issues that surface in the course of conducting audits
  • Assist in the review and update of audit methodology on an on-going basis; identifying changes in best practice and other areas for improvement
  • Work with Management to communicate, both written and verbal, to business process owners the results of testing the effectiveness of the controls, and remediate any exceptions;
  • Performs other related work as assigned

The Successful Applicant

  • A recognized Finance qualification e.g. CA, CPA, CIMA etc. or Masters equivalent
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in a large multi-national organisation, ideally Big 4 experience
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple activities
  • Numeracy, accuracy, excellent attention to detail, very good knowledge of MS tool (e.g. excel spreadsheet, Power point, etc)
  • Proven track record in being able to analyse complex situations to determine root cause
  • Strong analytical skills, problem diagnosis and solving. Ability to face and to drive changes in flexible way.
