The client is a highly recognised international charity body, which is part of a humanitarian organisation. The organisation is committed to helping people in crisis regardless of ethnic origin or nationality. The charity provide assistance for fire and emergency support, and raise awareness for issues such as HIV. The charity provides a large first aid service across the UK and the world.

Job Description

The role of the international finance business partner provides financial guidance and advice, with responsibilities including but not limited to;

  • Analysis and interpretation of results and forecasts
  • Management of financial processes in contact to overseas offices to ensure guidance on systems
  • Review and process of grants and cashflow
  • Financial risk assessments collaborating with non-finance staff
  • Supporting internal audit when required
  • Ad-hoc support to the International programme finance manager
  • Support to overseas finance staff in risk assessment
  • Support of recruitment, training and induction of finance delegates and officers in the region in question

The Successful Applicant

The international finance business partner must be fully qualified with a recognised professional body alongside;

  • Experience of developing financial systems supporting international operations
  • Strong audit and internal controls knowledge
  • Experience of risk management with the ability to think strategically
  • Strong training skills to both finance and non-finance staff
  • Flexibility and ability for international travel for up to 12 weeks per year
  • Experience with monitoring and accounting foreign currency
  • Advanced knowledge of excel and accounts systems

Experience within a charity is desirable.

What's on Offer

The successful finance business partner will be offered an 8 month fixed term contract, with holiday benefits, paying £36,000.
