Job Description

  • The day to day Financial Controller role for the UK business. Overall coordination and management of the global business from a financial management perspective and the management and co-ordination of the office operations in UK, Italy & Spain.
  • Ensure preparation of monthly / weekly management reporting of the UK direct business unit plus coordination across the global business.
  • Drive change in the business by continually monitoring and reviewing current procedures and controls to ensure adequate to manage growth, and deliver high level of service to all customers (internal and external) both by direct management and influence from a coordinated EMEA point of view.
  • Manage local relationships with auditors.
  • Identify further development of the currently implemented accounting system, considering links with legacy systems and control requirements. Ensure recommendations are made to enhance its efficiency and that its capabilities grow with the business. Represent the European Networks requirements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide operations with financial guidance in relation to business issues to ensure continued growth of the business.
  • Ensure full compliance with all taxation regulations and provide information as required.
  • Ensure that all Management Information Systems are effective, efficient and adequate by proposing and implementing recommendations for improvement and cost reductions.
  • Manage the ICT department and ensure our systems are as efficient as possible.
  • Keep a watching brief on the COS stock in subcontract manufacturing partners and the associated P&L risk by working closely with supply chain and operations.
  • Ensure that all activities are undertaken and controlled in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Extensive track record in a senior position.
  • Effective people manager.
  • Exposure to an international environment.
  • Demonstrable Quality Management track record.
  • Comfortable with operational improvement and working the floor.
