Job Description

To manage and maintain the compliance both internally and externally, including, but not limited to the requirements of the Data Protection Act and PCI DSS throughout all relevant areas and functions of the Group business, UK, RoI and central europe.

Own and manage all aspects of IT Risk and Compliance, including Risk Management, Policy Development, Supplier Risk Reviews, etc.

Take ownership and accountability for IT Compliance deliverables in relation to all areas of the business.


The successful candidate will work within a small team working directly for the Head, who reports into the CIO.

The successful candidate will be required to be based primarily in the IT department in our Manchester office, however travel to UK and Europe will be required.

This is an extremely fast paced environment and this role requires the ability to work on multiple activities at once and ability to adapt style accordingly.

Duties will include:

  • Identify, assess and review compliance risks & issues
  • Plan, set up and manage formal, periodic, risk
  • Maintain controls

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have experience of the following:

  • Identifies and understands compliance risks and issues presented by IS technical changes
  • Planning and scheduling activities and tasks
  • Meeting detailed compliance and/ or audit requirements specified by internal/ external bodies
  • Identifying and implementing remedial actions
  • Budget planning and expenditure control
  • Communications and stakeholder management incl reporting to senior team
  • Management of non­direct reports
  • Negotiating with external stakeholders
  • Workstream/ project management
  • Managing issues and risks
  • Specifying change requirements: systems, processes
