  • Our client is one of the world's largest privately owned and independent engineering companies.

Job Description

  • You will be responsible for maintaining security of internal networks by maintenance of software and backups.
  • You will provide technical support for staff and management in all matters relating to IT and telephone systems installed at the client offices. (1st and 2nd line Support).
  • You will assist in the physical security and maintenance of the installed server rooms and contents, as well as maintaining the telephone systems (both fixed line, data and mobile).
  • You will keep up to date with technologies appropriate to the role, and to provide strategic support and advice to management on subjects concerning IT and communications systems.

The Successful Applicant

  • You will have a high level of knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012 R2, and user software such as MS Office.
  • You will have a minimum of 3-5 year's experience in 1st and 2nd line IT Support, and ideally some 3rd line support experience.
  • You will have exposure to ITIL v3.
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching advantageous.
  • Knowledge of phone and communications systems.
  • Ability to work alone and occasionally out of normal hours.
  • Experience in dealing with internal staff and suppliers under pressurised conditions.
