Our client, a leading national and international business services provider, require an IT Manager to join the team based in Selby. Salary up to £30,000 dependent on experience including benefits. Commutable from Howden, York, Leeds, Doncaster, Hull

Job Description

The IT Manager will be responsible for the daily maintenance of all in-house hardware and software providing support to all internal users. The role also includes administration and maintenance of Equal system and support to users. The role manages all of the IT within the business, including third parties relating to IT software.

  • To ensure that all computer systems, office network and telephony provide an effective and uninterrupted service to business operations through the use of the ticketing system
  • To perform hardware and software maintenance duties as required
  • To provide Active Directory/Exchange maintenance/administration as required
  • To provide competent technical assistance and advice
  • To create and aid with the implementation of Contingency Planning, Backup and Disaster Recovery procedures
  • To co-ordinate and/or carry out IT training initiatives
  • Helpdesk support for internal users and on occasion bespoke CRM support
  • Keep up to date with latest systems and security to ensure all hardware and software is managed efficiently
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities as directed by line management from time to time

The Successful Applicant

Knowledge and experience:

  • A formal qualification related to IT, although candidates that can demonstrate experience will also be considered
  • A good knowledge of all aspects within an IT infrastructure.

Required skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 & 10
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Awareness of Project Management

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of CRM systems e.g. Salesforce
  • VoIP support
