About Our Client

A leading professional services organisation looking for an IT Manager based in Wiltshire.

Job Description

Due to considerable growth the IT Manager will be responsible for managing the IT function; IT is currently outsourced so the successful candidate will be in an independent & hands on role. You will manage the 3rd party suppliers/outsourced partner, be the face of IT at senior Director level internally, ensure the current services being provided are fit for purpose & support the future aims of the organisation and ensure its IT is future proofed. The role will require hands on technical/infrastructure support and the successful candidate must come from a hands on technical back ground in infrastructure, systems, applications etc.…

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of 3rd party suppliers & services - SLA's & KPI's

  • Hands on IT support time to time

  • Act as the face of IT & champion it across the organisation

  • Continuous improvement of processes

  • Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders & business users

  • Seek out new opportunities to drive the development of IT within the business and form strategy to take this forward.

  • Management of company complex systems - payroll/HR/finance systems etc…

  • Up skill & train work force in IT, its benefits and its application

  • Support the opening of new locations and ensure new sites are 'IT ready' ASAP

  • Act as a point of internal IT escalation

  • Support digital & website projects

  • Manage small internal projects

The Successful Applicant

The person:

  • Strong technical back ground

  • 5 years managing an IT operation with strong customer focus

  • Experience in Microsoft technologies

  • Knowledge of telecommunications

  • Experience of providing hands on technical support

  • Experience of managing infrastructure, applications, databases & systems

  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Management of 3rd parties
