Job Description

IT Programme Manager post is the first point of contact for business stakeholders wishing to develop their function with new or enhanced technology products. Evaluation of current business processes and technologies will be required as well as the ability to communicate strategy and current activity effectively at all levels.

IT Programme Manager Essential Experience:

  • Senior organisational-wide programme management experience within a similar sized company.
  • A track record of delivering a wide array of organisational-wide business change programmes successfully and along best practice lines.
  • Management of a project office (and associated staff) with similar objectives.
  • Previous role as a Business Analyst
  • Management of Business Analysis function and staff
  • Management of software development staff
  • Previous role within a Housing Association
  • MS Sharepoint and Dynamics development
  • Content Management System (CMS) or other relevant digital development
  • Application Integration technologies

IT Programme Manager Key Skills:

  • Evidence an understanding of how relevant best practice e.g. Programme Management, Agile, Waterfall can be used and adapted to achieve required business goals.
  • Show a comprehensive awareness of existing and developing technologies including (but not limited to) mobility, application integration and cloud services and how they can be applied to the business within the Housing and other sectors.
  • Ability to recognise business opportunities and present a clear strategic vision of how technology can be applied to achieve success
  • Programme and Project Management methodologies
  • Understanding of the housing sector and business, resident and regulatory requirements.
  • Business Analysis methodologies
  • Be a fluent and effective communicator, both written and oral at all levels.
  • Highly analytical and effective problem solver: able to develop solutions quickly and confidently and communicate ideas.
  • Confident and effective presenter.
  • Excellent organisational administration and documentation skills.
  • Skilled negotiator and influencer able to achieve positive outcomes for all parties: ability to recognise motivations of others, empathise and adapt approach accordingly.
