About Our Client
I am representing a leading energy company based in Milton Keynes, offering various energy solutions. The Group has a multitude of brands with a solid foundation in the Canada and USA and now at a stage to build their brand within the UK.
The position reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) with a dotted reporting line to Vice President and General Manager, UK.
The Project Manager role is to facilitate the delivery of business initiatives while proactively managing associated risks. The role serves as a liaison between the Systems team, internal business units and external vendors. This role will require travel to North America and Europe.
The Project Manager will establish high-functioning partnerships with an assigned set of business groups and its senior leaders and managers to develop and execute on business unit and cross functional strategies that drive results aligned with our business vision and objectives. It will coordinate the procurement, development and integration of IT solutions, providing quick responses to support business users.
This role will facilitate proof of concepts and pilots to support experimentation with various solutions options, it is important that the successful candidate has the ability to interpret business needs, evaluate them and translate them in to application and operations requirements.
They are looking for a Project Manager with at least 10 years experience working in both SME and Large diverse organisations. The Project Manager should be able to deal with senior stakeholders at multiple sites, in UK, Europe and North America. The Project Manager should be able to manage multiple projects at once, ranging from 500,000 to 3,000,000 in budget size. The Project Manager requires Prince 2 and will have worked in an Agile environment.
These projects are to benefit the growth of the business, business plan and customer experience. The Project Manager requires someone to think on their feet, someone who is quite robust, and can challenge stakeholders.

Experience with most of the following technologies:
- Web Applications
- Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012
- A 4+ year university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ year experience at a UK electricity and/or gas supplier
There is no specific energy background needed. You should be intrinsically motivated, driven and be able to meet demanding time lines. The nature of the projects range from IT to business change.
In terms of training, you are sent on a 1 week course to North America.
