About Our Client

Our Legal client are looking to recruit a IT Service Manager to expand and improve their internal IT service offering.

Job Description

As part of the IT Service Manager role your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage up to a dozen large external IT suppliers to ensure high performance and availability
  • Liaise with internal business teams to understand IT strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement and greater alignment
  • Ensure a proactive strategy towards Problem Management as our clients current approach is too reactive
  • Ensure Capacity Management is in line with future business needs and that current capabilities are fully utilized.
  • Fully understand and improve how suppliers monitor and resolve issues in order to have a wider view of the current IT estate.
  • Liaise with our clients IT projects team in order to understand what services are being transitioned into the live environment

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in your application for the IT Service Manager role you will:

  • Have a strong background in service delivery; particularly Problem, Capacity, Event and Availability Management
  • Have managed large external suppliers
  • Have the gravitas to influence key internal and external stakeholders
  • Be ITIL certified
  • Be able to work across complex work-streams
