Job Description



IT Service Management

  • Responsible for day-to-day support for all enterprise wide IT systems and services
  • Design, develop and implement a broad range of operational support services covering service desk, application maintenance & support, desktop, technology (data centre, networks), incident & problem management, disaster recovery etc
  • Implement an ITIL based approach to service provision and management
  • Deliver against key financial targets.
  • Build close relationships with the key business stakeholders to build suite of services which effectively supports the business strategies.
  • Openly share performance information and improvement action plans.
  • Publish regular performance reports which effectively measure the important elements of the services provided. Develop key metrics which will define 'great service'
  • Identify and achieve improvements in service performance.
  • Develop a culture of customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Build close partnerships with our critical service partner to enhance the relationship and quality of service.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on industry trends, standards and opportunities.
  • As a key member of the IT leadership team, help shape the IT departmental strategies and objectives to best support the business strategies.





Compliance

  • Support the business teams to create, validate and maintain fit for purpose continuity plans and risk registers. Ensure effective and integrated crisis management processes are in place between the organisation and IT services provider(s). Manage the IT risks at the organisation.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Asset Management principles are applied to all operational IT assets at the organisation.
  • Responsible for managing IT Health, Safety and Environmental compliance activities by ensuring that:-
  1. Effective Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) systems and procedures are defined, effectively operated and monitored for works and services on Company or 3rd party IT assets on company.
  2. All appropriate Health and Safety legislation and instructions are effectively adopted by IT 3rd parties undertaking on-site works.





Leadership

  • Have a deep understanding of the objectives and strategies of the main business functions; communicate this to key service providers to ensure that projects and services are aligned to client needs.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on industry trends, standards and opportunities
  • Focus on customer needs, aligning IT delivery to these.
  • Continued focus on trying to find new and better ways of doing things.
  • Develop a culture of customer service and continuous improvement. Build close, collaborative relationships with clients and service providers

The Successful Applicant

Essential:

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent
  • Structured approach to change, continuous improvement and problem resolution.
  • Demonstrates creativity in identifying opportunities and finding solutions
  • Significant experience of IT service delivery or systems projects delivery
  • Expertise across a broad range of ICT technologies (clients, applications, networks, infrastructure) and infrastructure service provision
  • Experienced in influencing across the business management team and 3rd party suppliers
  • Experienced in outsourcing and managing external suppliers to provide quality services
