Job Description

  • Act as the main point of contact in relation to the contract and commercial aspects of the designated contract(s).
  • Ensuring designated contract(s) are managed in accordance with their terms and the relevant business case, including identifying and tracking key contract deliverables and obligations.
  • Drafting and negotiating complex contract changes and contract related documentation. Ensuring all relevant stakeholders have been appropriately engaged, fully briefed and the requisite approvals have been obtained. A high level of direct stakeholder engagement will be required.
  • Attending and contributing to governance forums and supplier meetings Proactively raising with the business any potential contractual and commercial issues arising from supplier meetings, governance forums and other supplier interactions.
  • Creating and maintaining contract related documentation, such as stakeholder maps, the contract summary and obligations trackers, including the ongoing management of access permissions to confidential documents.
  • Providing advice on contract rights and obligations and contract interpretation, whilst ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of any positioning and related commercial risks.
  • Preparing comparison papers, presentation materials and other forms of guidance, to assist stakeholders in understanding their rights and obligations under a contract and any related commercial issues, including making presentations and delivering training.
  • Contributing to Contract and Commercial Management improvement initiatives to identify and capture value, avoiding costs or eliminate waste in relation to any designated contract(s), including improving and documenting processes.
  • Building and developing trust-based relationships with key stakeholders and assurance functions within the Group and the business.
  • Supporting the creation of new contracts, including advising on optimal contractual and commercial structures and approach. Contributing to and supporting negotiations related to new contracts, contract changes, extensions and renewals.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor´s degree or applicable working in contract, sourcing or supplier delivery related roles. Preferred professional qualification, such as MCIPS, legal qualification, CFA, CPA.
  • Preferred business, management or technical degree
  • Contract management related certificates and applicable professional memberships.
  • Deep and broad background of working in commercial contract management, sourcing or procurement roles, including working at a Group level and across global contracts, and leading in a significant or highly specialist or complex area of expertise.
  • Project, program and change initiatives and project teams.
  • Proven at interfacing with and influencing senior managers and business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions as well as leading relationships with suppliers.
  • Working in sourcing or procurement roles or in a heavily process driven environment, such as operational claims or business compliance and assurance roles.
  • Managing IT infrastructure, networks, end user, application support service contracts.
