About Our Client

Our client is a well-known retailer based in the East Midlands who are looking for a Junior Branch Merchandiser who has experience in Branch Merchandising and Space planning.

Job Description

The Junior Branch Merchandiser will be responsible for the following:

  • Build relationships and work effectively with the Merchandising teams, Retail and Supply team to plan and manage the stock flow for all new lines, events and promotions to ensure on-time launches, as well as replenishment and exit strategies, to optimise availability, sales and minimise markdown.
  • Work with the merchandising team to review weekly trading performance on KPIs and to identify stock issues / opportunities with emphasis on timely resolution.
  • Control the delivery of options into stores within planned space with Merchandising, Buying and Range planning to deliver customer choice, drive sales and maximise trade intensity.
  • Plan, execute and measure stock builds for new stores, extensions and refurbishments, managing and implement store grade changes, providing store analysis.
  • Provide outbound volume forecast for the Supply team / DC's.
  • Sign off/ review all replenishment and allocation parameters to ensure Corporate and local markdown is minimised whilst maximising sales, stocks and availability targets.
  • To monitor and manage the clearance of old DD/ markdown stock through the business by working with Retail, Supply chain and Merchandising.
  • Support store requests where commercially viable and respond in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for pre agreed Store availability targets.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Understanding of commercial issues, previous Merchandising/ allocation and replenishment experience required.
  • Technical knowledge of merchandising & planning systems
  • Ability to deliver results to target as an individual and within a team
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast moving dynamic retail environment
  • Confidence to influence and engage, building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Effective communicator, presenter, and team player
  • Product, market and customer knowledge
  • A tenacity to overcome people or process obstacles.
  • Computer literate, Systems knowledge especially Excel and MS office.
  • Previous experience in Branch Merchandising or space planning
