My client is is a privately owned SME toy manufacturer with subsidiaries throughout the world. Established over 130 years ago they are a market leader in a number of categories, with a dedication to providing high quality products and service.

Due to continued growth they are looking for enthusiastic and accomplished sales professional to look after a portfolio of established key accounts.

This will be an excellent opportunity to work within a small sales team, having a lot of exposure and responsibility. You will work with Top 4 grocers, Toys R Us, John Lewis, Smyths Toys among others.

You will have the autonomy and responsibility to make the role your own, making key decisions and negotiating key deals. This is an excellent opportunity for a hungry, ambitious candidate to excel within a growing business.

Job Description

The role of the Junior National Account Manager is to continue the strong relationships with the major grocers, including Tesco and Sainsburys, Toy R Us and John Lewis among others. You will be tasked with owning and developing the joint business plan, putting together comprehensive sales through strategies, including promotional plans, and build excitement around new products.

The Junior National Account Manager will be tasked with working closely with the internal and external stakeholders.

The wider business offer huge value that help benefit your customers and consumers. The role will require the incoming person to be strong in negotiation, analytical capability and other commercial acumen

The Successful Applicant

Applicants will need to be passionate about the FMCG and Consumer sector and have a proven track record of working within branded consumer or FMCG businesses. For the role of Junior National Account Manager my client would expect this person to have already had experience with negotiating with Buyers from a HQ perspective, either supporting a NAM or Controller or negotiating on their own, ideally with UK retailers, grocers or online retailers.

Applicants will need to have a strong analytical capability, good Excel and PowerPoint skills and feel confident in their own presenting and negotiation ability. You will also need to be based in the South East, commuting to a north Oxfordshire based head office once a week.
