About Our Client

Our client is a privately owned, family run business manufacturing and retailing product primarily aimed at schools and sports teams. Experiencing rapid growth, particularly over the last 5 years, they have gone from strength to strength and are now concentrating on the launch of a new brand of sportswear.

Job Description

You will be responsible for a team of 2 account managers; key focus will be on building and executing strategic account plans and pro-actively identifying new and additional business opportunities in order to maximise sales and raise brand awareness in order to maximise sales and raise brand awareness. Concurrently, brand development will be a key area; working closely with the factory to source the latest technical fabrics whilst analysing the market and feeding back to design and technical teams.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Manage the direct supply of staff and team sportswear
  • Build and maintain a high level of customer relationships
  • Contribute to the overall development of business through management of selling events and assisting in branches during peak periods
  • Liaising with the buying department, brand managers and customer services regarding any sportswear changes
  • Manage a team of 2 account managers
  • Brand development
  • Overseeing the wholesale process

The Successful Applicant

Required experience:

  • 5 years account management
  • Entrepreneurial approach to sales whilst remaining a team player
  • Interest in sports
  • Knowledge of bespoke sportswear products, fabric sources, design and manufacturing
  • Experience working with stock supported ranges
