Job Description

Key duties include:-

  • Review the work of the KYC Analysts
  • The on-boarding of new clients and counter-parties; specifically the pipeline client base is expanding to HK, Eastern Bloc countries, New Electronic Trading Platform
  • Verifying documents and certified evidence obtained by the FO/MO
  • Helping relationship managers to compile and complete KYC documentation for prospective new clients and counter-parties;
  • Overseeing and assisting with the cyclical review of KYC documentation;
  • Participating from time to time in Operations Department KYC review and remediation programmes;
  • Drafting KYC risk assessments of current and new clients;
  • Assisting in MiFID, EMIR and other client classification, notification and permissions receipts;
  • Providing insight / views / helping to review and advise on the firm's anti-money laundering procedures and ensuring compliance with the latest rules and guidance;

Other

  • liaison with Front Office relationship managers, Operations Departments and Compliance Officers within the group of companies.
  • attending relevant operations, compliance and AML meetings

The Successful Applicant

KYC Analysts feed their workload into KYC Officers who in turn feed there workload into the KYC Manager - The process is very manual and there are projects to get involved in to automate the role - Analysts will be involved in the requirements / testing / training and implementation.

Specific Experience and Qualifications

Thorough hands-on KYC experience in the financial services industry. Securities house, broker dealer and/or wholesale banking experience preferred
