The Cambridge team is at the heart of Qualcomm's Internet of Things Business Unit and the Legal Counsel will work closely with the lead lawyer and the team to make a real difference in Qualcomm's innovative journey.

Job Description

This Legal Counsel will be responsible for advising on a broad range of commercial matters to a spectrum of stakeholders including technology agreements, software licensing, IP, commercial contract review/draft/negotiation and customer supply agreements. The ideal candidate will be extremely collegiate but you will have to be confident in managing your own projects, defining key objectives and providing timely solutions. You will be integral to the mentoring and development of junior staff in tandem with providing effective legal support to the wider Cambridge office and the business.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Legal Counsel will be a UK or US qualified lawyer with training from a well-regarded Private Practice or in-house legal team. Technology drives Qualcomm, therefore any exposure to technology businesses would be an advantage. You should be:

  • C4-10 years PQE*
  • Commercially minded with solid knowledge of drafting, reviewing & negotiation contracts.
  • A lawyer with knowledge of software licensing and IP.
  • Confident in your ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
