Job Description

In this role you will;

Provide effective legal advice to Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales management and other associates on contractual and business related matters, balancing risks and benefits/opportunities. Offering alternative solutions to challenging business issues.

Prepare, review and finalise bespoke contracts of varying scope and complexity, including third party manufacturing agreements, license agreements, strategic alliance agreements, supply agreements, service and maintenance agreements, design and build / construction agreements, policies and procedures.

Create and implement standard contracts / contract provisions / templates for use with suppliers, third-party manufacturers, leases and rentals. Ensures that standard terms are understood by relevant associates (predominantly within the Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales organisations but working across the matrix).

External Counsel Management:Coordinate ans liaise with and direct external legal counsel on various matters.

Assesses the strengths and weaknesses of external counsel.

Evaluate the performance of external counsel and provides them with feedback to improve service to the company.

Co-ordinates with local in-house counsel - working with them across the Region to gather information and ensure consistency and alignment with Regional objectives.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a qualified Lawyer with proven expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation, providing commercially focused legal advice on diverse issues, in relation to the areas of Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales. Working both independently and under the guidance of a more Senior Legal Professional in cases of complex, sensitive or strategic matters to ensure that the business complies with applicable legislation, rules and regulations in all EMEA markets and that the interests of the company are protected at all times.

Carrying out research and communicating advice effectively, in a dynamic commercial context, balancing legal requirements and business needs. As a Regional role, this position requires co-ordination with in-house and external legal counsel across EMEA and an appreciation of the unique and varied issues faced in individual markets.
