Job Description

  • Support the delivery of the organisations annual conference and awards, working with the events team
  • Produce, write and edit relevant and engaging content (copy and imagery) for our website, e-shots, social media, blogs, fact sheets, videos and our offline membership magazine
  • Create adverts and digital marketing campaigns using design/image editing software. Generate creative ideas and content strategies across multiple platforms (digital and print), tailoring copy, tone of voice, imagery and call to action appropriate for the audience and channel
  • Represent, attend and report live from the organisations events
  • Measure and report on the performance of key website content using Google Analytics. Use competitor analysis, SEO and PPC techniques to generate ideas for improvement based this data, increase web traffic and raise the organisations profile.
  • Write and design surveys to inform marketing strategy and planning processes
  • Monitor the content activity of competitive and partner organisations
  • Help to maintain a consistent brand identity throughout all communications
  • Accurately proof read your own and the work of other members of the marketing team and wider organisation
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver overall marketing objectives
  • Work towards the overall strategic objectives of organisation and to be responsible for the delivery of targets in the organisations business plan and ensuring key performance indicators are met.
  • Any other duties reasonably requested by line management and commensurate with the post.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate would have the following profile:

  • Outstanding communication skills - both written and oral, with the ability to present complex information clearly, write fast and engaging copy and edit other people's copy
  • Ability to devise compelling content across multiple channels
  • Experience of using social media, digital photography and video for marketing purposes
  • Excellent organisation, planning, project and time management with the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with contacts
  • Numerate and analytical
  • Able to digest information and to understand and interpret differing stakeholder requirements
  • Able to initiate and carry out work independently, as well as within a team
  • Enthusiastic and creative
