Job Description

Key responsibilities pertain to financial accounting, controlling, reporting & performance, financial processes and systems, compliance and external/internal audit support, people management with key tasks as follows:

Co-ordination of month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes.

Preparation/aggregation/reporting of statutory packs and reports such as Adstar, PSA pack, Tax pack, National Statistics, GG reporting, CIS return.

Aggregation/consolidation/reporting of Financial results

Aggregation/consolidation/reporting of Forecasts

Aggregation/consolidation/reporting of Budgets

Reporting inclusive of reporting to finance teams based in Headquarters in Germany and UK plc.

Production and development of management reports.

Review of balance sheet & income statement.

Review & analysis of costs pertaining to specific cost centres.

Management of external auditor requests

Participation and co-ordination of Internal Control for Financial Reporting related activities including exposure to preparation, collation, maintenance and security of required documentation to the required standard.

Ongoing improvement of financial processes and procedures in the context of the job and financial activities.

Key point of contact for liaison with corporate departments.

Maintain and process entries in accordance with IFRS standards

To act as a Deputy for Finance and Commercial Manager.

Involvement in special projects and other tasks as required.Any other tasks and responsibilities in line with business requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • CIMA or ACCA finalist; ideally qualified

  • Demonstrate relevant accounting & financial experience
  • Solid accounting skills with the ability to demonstrate an understanding and interpretation of key financial statements
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Highly committed to work with a positive outlook
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative with flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Good knowledge and use of SAP
