Job Description

To prepare, develop and analyse key financial information to ensure that the organisation's management makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability whilst establishing and maintaining financial policies and management information systems.

To produce timely, accurate management information for the organisation, consolidate budget and forecast/business plan information and to assist with year-end processes and statutory accounts preparation.

Main Responsibilities include: -

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for a portfolio of Business and Innovation Centres. Including Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecast preparation.
  • Liaise with the Auditors regarding financial information in order to pre-plan for audit file preparation.
  • Preparation of audit file for the client.
  • Invoices to various external stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and reporting on debts including chasing external stakeholders.
  • Preparation/reconciliation of rate payments.
  • VAT returns/reports.
  • Direct Debit collections.
  • Monitoring / completion of outstanding Purchase Order's.

The Successful Applicant

Qualified/finalist of the ACCA/CIMA/ACA.

Proven experience in a similar role.

Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Understanding of management information systems.

A completer/finisher who is efficient and accurate with an excellent eye for detail.

A confident and personable individual with excellent interpersonal skills.

The ability to communicate tactfully and persuasively at all levels with all types of people with both financial and non-financial information.

Intellectual with a strong business and commercial acumen.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent administrative and organisational skills.

Highly self-motivated and proactive with a desire to contribute to the company more widely.

Client and customer services focussed.

Ability to work under pressure and multi task

Motivate, lead and delegate tasks to team.

Team player and team leader.
