About Our Client

My client is part of a bigger group who are a Pan European with subsidiaries in 5 countries. Precision Engineering specialists which employs over 100 skilled workers in the Gloucester site.

Job Description

Progress components through the engineering and manufacturing workflow
Assess priorities and expedites
Ensure bottlenecks are understood and rectified
Ensure progress is to plan
Report on progress to customer and management teams
Building strong liaisons with customers and understanding their requirements
Hold progress review meetings internally to control projects

The Successful Applicant

Knowledge and use of planning, monitoring and controlling software
Understand the value stream (training provided)
Project Management skills
IT competencies to include MS office suite
Good knowledge of machining and sub contract processes
Be able to deal with the complexities of the business to understand and convey complex requirements
Ensure manufacturing plan is adhered to - on track and under control
Escalate production problems in a timely manner
Liaise with other internal departments to achieve success
Instigate and lead stakeholder meetings
Ideally would have gained knowledge/skills in a similar environment - either in automotive/aerospace
Knowledge of engineering practices and processes

Ideally would have a proven track record of planning and production controlling background in a similar
engineering environment.
Nuclear systems knowledge would be an advantage alongside Mechanical Engineering qualification.

What's on Offer

The starting salary is £35,000 and this closes at £40,000 for the right candidate.
