About Our Client

Reporting into the Head of Business Development, this role will be responsible for generating quality relationships and specific work opportunities for agreed legal teams. Driven by the sector business plans and client plans.

Job Description

* Contribute to shaping business plans by attending specific sector meetings to provide strategic advice on sales and marketing
* Create new relationships - Take ownership of agreed sales campaigns through a combination of coaching and direct leadership
* Develop Pipeline. Track activities and results of campaigns
* Improve conversion - Project manage defined sector sales opportunities and pitches to deliver tailored, compelling propositions. Coach pitch teams with support from the Head of Bids.
* Work with client partner(s) for key accounts to improve account management skills and practices to enhance relationships
* Work with comms team and sector leader to assist in enhancing the profile in the sector through media comms
* Key client budget management - generate clear RoI from client budgets through effective activities
* Day to day overview and management of the relevant client budgets, referring key queries to the Head of Business Development.
* Develop client/target relationship plans alongside core teams "Own" the development of specific clients/targets

The Successful Applicant

* Credible expertise in assessing and managing opportunities/relationships, probably within a professional services environment. Be an exponent of relevant, practical sales and account management methodologies
* Proven, senior client facing experience that has directly generated and developed relationships for major corporates and/or professional services firms. Ability to be both "hunter" and "farmer"
* Bring sector insight, ideally from across sectors
* Effective networking skills to network alongside partners at key sector events
* Be seen as an insider" with agreed legal/client teams through developing market and technical insight. Be able to assess and manage projects effectively across Business Services and legal teams
* Delegate work where applicable to PAs and other core team members who have appropriate skill sets
* Preferably degree educated or equivalent, with a high level of competency in a second (European) language.
