Job Description

  • Responsible for generating marketing support for all business channels in EMEA through the EMEA channel marketing team. This includes the subsidiaries as well as the distributor organisation
  • Team management: the role is responsible for a virtual EMEA channel marketing team of 4 people
  • Develop programs and initiatives throughout the region to drive sales, communications and brand image
  • Efficiently manage the P & L for the EMEA marketing group
  • Work closely with the VP, Sales & Marketing EMEA to develop the region's business strategy and act to execute this during the course of the fiscal year
  • Communicate closely with the various 'upstream' marketing groups providing information on product performance, customer feedback and educational aspects
  • Inform the development teams of new product requirements and enhancements necessary for existing products
  • Supervise the company's participation in international conventions and special events
  • Provide marketing analyses for each country/region reporting unit sales, asp's and trends
  • Manage the EMEA newsletter 'Connect'
  • Provide market and competitor intelligence for the region
  • Ensure products are launched into the region in a timely and proper manner
  • Ensure adequate and appropriate product training is provided to the sales channels which includes the distributor network

  • Manage, evaluate and develop team of employees to meet functional deliverables and responsibilities
  • Complete company people management requirements. Exhibit manager core competencies
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business

The Successful Applicant

  • Considerable experience in medical product marketing with some spent in devices
  • Strong background of tactical and strategic marketing
  • Experience of successful direct management
  • Ideally experience of working with a USA parent company, advertising agencies, and other related service providers
  • Medical device sales experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.Marketing qualification preferable
  • Demonstration of leadership skills
  • A strong team player
  • Possess good understanding of finance and have the ability to analyze sales and market statistics
  • Ability to work successfully in a multi-tasking role with multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience of working and managing in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment gaining achievement through others
  • Practical and flexible mindset with the ability to translate regional marketing strategies into tactical plans
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to travel min 50% of the time annually, with seasonal variability
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office programs
  • Strong presentation skills
  • A second language would be seen as advantageous
  • Travel: Travel for training, congresses and market evaluation purposes is required. Must travel internationally (mainly EMEA and US) and be able to acquire all necessary travel documents
  • •Must be able to complete job responsibilities working with global time zone needs such as attending late night/early morning meetings by phone and/or web to meet global business needs
