About Our Client

My client are a leading Financial Services business based in South Yorkshire. The company are currently going through huge growth and therfore require a Marketing and Events Executive.

Job Description

Manage the annual hospitality calendar

  • Plan and deliver dealer-facing hospitality events across all areas of the business. Attend events in the role of host as and when required.
  • Support the branches / divisions with local dealer entertainment activity.
  • Deliver against event objectives and KPI's, evaluating and reporting on the success of all events to demonstrate ROI.
  • Manage the hospitality budget.

Manage internal events

  • Plan and deliver the annual company conference for 300+ delegates.
  • Plan and deliver the annual Director Roadshows, a series of smaller business update events.
    • Support the delivery of bespoke internal events ad hoc.
    • Attend internal events in the role of events manager.
  • Deliver against event objectives and KPI's, evaluating and reporting on the success of all events.
  • Manage the internal events budget.

Deliver PR programme

  • Work with the PR agency and the team to plan and deliver monthly content plans to support our thought leadership strategy. Manage agency to meet coverage targets and KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to promote the business as thought leaders including award submissions, sponsorships and partnerships, industry events and speaker opportunities for our spokespeople.

Marketing communications

Support the marketing team by producing content and communications activity to support:

  • Customer marketing and retention campaigns
  • Dealer campaigns for retention / acquisition
  • Digital content, including website maintenance
  • Internal communications and engagement campaigns
  • Research and insight programmes

Manage third party agencies

  • Manage, and regularly review, agency relationships to ensure a marketing supply chain that allows the team to continually deliver and develop its capabilities to support short, medium, and long term marketing plans.

Risk and Compliance

  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.

The Successful Applicant


  • Strong event management skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional events, and experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in marketing and communications.
  • Experience managing third party agency relationships to deliver consistently high standards.
  • Confident team player, able to network effectively, as well as to influence and persuade key stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload, meeting deadlines and operating efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and high personal standards to produce quality output every time.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Tenacious and results focused.


  • Experience managing and delivering PR programmes.
  • Competent in using Adobe design software and email marketing platforms.

What's on Offer

Salary offering between £25,000 - £32,000 with fantastic benefits.
