Marketing Executive - Copywriting/Design experience

The role will involve high levels of interaction with all areas of the firm to increase the engagement in marketing activities, providing guidance and hands-on support for external communications, advertising, direct marketing and CRM management.

Job Description

  • CRM
    • Day to day management of the CRM system.
    • Driving CRM engagement in the practice.
    • Managing and reporting on uptake, and ensuring the quality of data required for other marketing reasons.
    • Updating the CRM pre-and post-marketing activity including checking against deceased and TPS lists before each mailing.
    • Ensuring that other team members also follow best practice on data cleanse, export and import protocols.
  • Advertising, Communications and Direct Marketing
    • Developing the communication programme and implementing internally and through external suppliers.
    • Managing press releases and media relations.
    • Using InDesign to design compelling advertising and newsletters.
    • Designing and placing advertising in effective media invitations.
    • Creating and delivering direct marketing campaigns (email mostly), response handling, updating the CRM.
    • Supporting the New Business and Client Executives in the execution of their campaigns particularly awards and directory submissions.
    • Supporting the Events Executive with communications requirements.
    • Supporting the Online Executive with communications requirements.
    • Managing internal briefings and debriefing on campaigns.
    • Managing day-to-day relationships with suppliers. Liaising with suppliers to assist integrated approach to campaigns.
  • Work effectively with external providers of marketing and BD services and to ensure value for money is achieved from these.
  • Maintain a strong sense of the ROI delivered from projects undertaken and commitments made. Always putting the firm's strategic and operational wellbeing at the forefront of decision making.

The Successful Applicant

  • Essential:
    • Technical marketing skills in external communications, advertising, copywriting, design, purchasing media, direct marketing/email marketing
    • Expert communication skills, including ability to write with influence, strong copywriting, proof-reading and editing ability and a 'plain English' approach.
    • High level of visual accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Expert knowledge of dotmailer and CRM systems.
  • Advantageous:
    • Understanding of event management, sponsorship and promotions and an interest in good design
    • Highly conversant with social media and SEO.
    • For some of the firm's events, the applicant will require the use of a car and have a valid clean driving licence.
  • Experience required:
    • Degree educated.
    • Experience across the full marketing mix from brand building to direct communication.
    • Experience at managing activities targeted toward senior business audience and private individuals.
    • Experience of budget control.
