About Our Client

My client are looking for a Marketing Executive to join a leading construction business due to huge growth over the past twelve months.

Job Description

The role will include the full marketing mix, with a key area of focus on major projects and campaigns, generating positive and impactful outcomes across the business, building strong relationships with regional colleagues and gaining extensive business insight and knowledge across all business areas.

The role will also:

  • Support the departments Marketing and Brand disciplines
  • Support the GMM in building the profile and reputation of the company so that the business can achieve its, mission, vision, values and strategic goals
  • Write and submit Award submissions that align with the Group Marketing strategy
  • Manage organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions

Support the Group Marketing Manager with marketing campaigns and activities, ensuring they deliver the necessary creativity and relevance for audiences to successfully deliver strategic objectives including brand building, customer engagement and client engagement, attraction of suppliers, partners and employees.

  • Provide support in delivering marketing campaigns to increase brand profile of the Group Strategy
  • Support the GMM in producing marketing, campaign and project plans
  • Provide support to the department in the production of corporate materials such as - Annual reports, event materials, leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters and DVDs, as well as advertising campaigns, status reports and other related materials.
  • Support the GMM with major/most complex marketing and communications initiatives
  • Actively share the story across all materials produced
  • Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press or on the radio;


Provide marketing support to Home regions with day-to-day management of work being carried out with the regions

  • Work collaboratively with all regional marketing teams and 'all other' business functions across the company

  • Work with the MM to ensure the Brand is applied correctly across all marketing and communications materials

  • Effectively respond to requests from the regions ensuring they align to the Group strategy, passing to the MM where necessary

  • Work with the GMM, and the regional teams to implement regional marketing activities aligned to the strategy

  • Assist in developing marketing activity plans as they arise for each of the regions and business units

  • Effectively build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within regions and business units


  • Photography - management of group bookings and photoshoot briefing

  • Develop and maintain the DAM system for the guidance of the GMM

  • Writing and proofreading copy as required

  • Liaising with designers and printers

  • Arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials

  • Conducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups

  • Monitoring competitor activity

  • Keep up to date with the market sector by reading weekly key trade titles

The Successful Applicant


  • Degree in a relevant subject, and/or

  • CIM level ? and/or

  • Extensive experience


  • 3 years working knowledge of marketing and communications, preferably in the construction industry

  • Up to date knowledge of leading edge customer and client engagement, thinking and practice

  • Working knowledge of web platforms

  • Proficient at generating creative, brand congruent content that is relevant to key audiences and channels, and maximising the use of content across multiple channels


  • Working in a corporate marketing environment or have Marketing agency background

  • Events management experience

  • Quality Award submission writing
