Job Description

  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager and the wider Marketing team by building and maintaining close working relationships with the various Sales channels - National Account Managers, Key Account Managers, Business Consultants/Account Manager, Franchise Directors and Telephone Account Managers to drive sales of our products
  • Manage the strategic partnerships of over 30 financial advisory groups, supporting and initiating key marketing initiatives on a day-to-day basis to drive sales and grow market share. Strong relationship management is key!
  • Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and National Account Managers to communicate and deliver a 12-month plan of marketing activity to support key Financial Advisers and Financial Advisory Groups.
  • Plan, implement and report on the success of Adviser and Account Manager incentive initiatives and deliver ROI from marketing activity through clear tracking, measurement, analysis and making recommendations for optimisation.
  • Work with the wider Marketing team to deliver product driven campaigns and ad-hoc marketing opportunities committed to maximise our brand exposure, provide an optimal opportunity for explaining our product features, and aligning them to our brand and product positioning strategy.
  • Responsible for developing a range of online and offline marketing initiatives including: advertorials, online display advertising, microsites, pre and post event emails, banners stands
  • and promotional material, press ads, radio scripts, brochures/sales aids, powerpoint presentations, small - medium sized events including adviser workshops/seminars, adviser trade shows with exhibition stands and award nights
  • Share responsibility for reviewing and maintaining the marketing inbox and responding to requests for marketing activity on behalf of the marketing team
  • Work closely with the internal design team to design the marketing collateral (online and offline) and assist in writing copy for advertorials, newsletter articles, emails etc and ensure that the marketing material is executed on time and within budget.
  • Create all Financial Promotions (FP's) with adherence to brand tone of voice and identity guidelines and 'clear, fair, and not misleading' rules using agreed Communication Code phrases and descriptions and get approval of all marketing collateral through rigorous internal compliance approval processes.
  • Responsible for the review of all FP's and observance of use-by dates such that they are extended, re-signed off, or made obsolete as appropriate

The Successful Applicant

  • University level education - ideally in Marketing or an equivalent qualification such as CIM/IDM
  • Approx 3-5 years marketing experience
  • Ideally have experience of working in a marketing capacity in a B2B environment
  • Experience of working within the Financial Services Industry
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent team worker and relationship builder, with internal and external parties
  • Experience of working in a fast paced business environment
  • Experience of writing clear and concise communications
  • Ideally some campaign management experience
  • Some experience of working in a highly regulated environment
  • Excellent communication skills - your role requires working closely with our National Account Managers and over 30 external financial advisory groups
  • Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to turn "the complex" into simple language.
  • Really strong attention to detail, copywriting skills and a focus on delivering quality
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise activities. Excellent organisation skills is a must
  • Strong marketing project management skills - activity planning and project delivery
  • Able to manage their own time and prioritise their workload in line with business requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Good leadership and motivational skills
  • Translation of brand values into effective communications for key audiences
  • Ability to manage expectations and ensure visibility of delivery issues and barriers
  • Ability to cope and adapt to change and uncertainty with the business
  • Ability to inject fresh ideas and creativity into the wider marketing team
  • Willing to work hard, but have lots of fun along the way
