Job Description

The Buckinghamshire based Marketing Manager will work with the wider 'professional range' marketing team to understand the profitability of all the products within each category and aligning product ranges and promotions to meet business objectives. Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring every product lifecycle is accurate and timely with profitability, channel management, forecasting, promotions and end of life planning are managed in a timely manner.
  • Managing a rolling 12 month customer channel commercial promotional plan.
  • Supporting the cross functional teams including Sales, Finance, Service, Customer Services and Supply chain with the fulfilment of product and marketing responsibilities.

  • Landscaping competition to allow a clear understanding of product & category trends within all channels across the UK, which would in-turn lead to proactively developing programs, configurations and promotions to address their weaknesses while highlighting our strengths.
  • Working with EMEA marketing & product teams to ensure full and effective launches of all new products and promotion campaigns.
  • Ensuring that the supporting power tool accessories and hand tools are at the forefront of a power tool campaign or promotion.
  • Presenting new products and promotion campaigns to the sales teams and key/national accounts and equipping them with product knowledge, competitor analysis and sales packages to ensure a successful launch.

  • Managing and working within the Marketing budget to ensure all product and marketing activities are maximised.
  • Planning and implementation of product/promotional artwork with its utilisation in sales literature and POS.
  • Creating and implementing of marketing premiums, POS and display merchandising to assist with sales campaigns.
  • Organising annual customer events and exhibitions.
  • Managing weekly/quarterly marketing reports.

The Successful Applicant

The Marketing Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Relevant degree in Marketing or Business Management
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar position
  • Excellent presentation skills and confidence presenting all levels
  • Good Organisational and project management skills
  • Strong analytical / financial acumen - P&L management
  • A strong working knowledge of relevant software packages used in the office environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
  • Good product knowledge in a relative industry to have confidence in practically demonstrating a product portfolio
  • A strong determination to achieve & drive commercial opportunities into the business
  • A good team spirit, but critically, being a strong self-starter
  • Ability to travel, both within the UK and occasionally internationally

What's on Offer

The Buckinghamshire based Marketing Manager will be offered a basic salary of up to £30,000 with 25 days holiday, Pension 4% (employee will contribute 5%), Private health care, Life insurance, Gym discount of £200, On-site parking, Bonus up to 10%
