A specialist online retailer based in Birmingham and seeking to engage a Marketing Manager.

Job Description

The Marketing Manager will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and undertake a 360 role which will involve all aspects of the Marketing mix across online and traditional platforms. With exceptional creative and organisational skills, a balance between a strategic approach and hands on implementation will be required.

The Marketing Manager will have overall responsibility for internal and external communication, working with and managing an external agency and the associated budgets.

The Marketing Manager will provide comprehensive support across all on and offline activities for the entire business and will be required to drive a strong team culture from within. As an ambassador for the business, the role will help to build the external profile through identifying and attending relevant events to support the business needs.

Responsibilities of the role to include:

  • Implementation and management of all marketing activity from concept to completion.
  • Overall brand management across internal and external communications.
  • Identifying opportunities to support the wider business development and delivering presentation materials.
  • Producing a high level of both online content and offline copy whilst exhibiting flawless spelling and grammar.
  • The creation, delivery and maintenance of a successful social media strategy.
  • Attendance and management of the events calendar.
  • Producing engaging internal communications.
  • Taking an analytical approach to existing Marketing and Business Development activities and measuring ROI in order to formulate future strategy based on commercial need.
  • Full responsibility for external agency and budget management.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the role of Marketing Manager will possess:

  • Experience in launching and managing large multimedia cross channel campaigns that support online journeys
  • Highly creative attitude with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional written English
  • Proven success in using digital marketing and analytics tools to drive brand growth
  • Excellent analytical & reporting skills, providing thoughtful recommendations
  • Strong experience in a test & learn environment, monitoring closely to spot opportunities and ensure rapid roll-out
