About Our Client

My client is an Oxfordshire based Educational Publisher with a Global remit. They are looking for a commercially focused Marketing Manager to join their fast paced organisation. They have multiple product offerings available to an international audience are will be looking to maintain and grow their market share with their positive growth plans.

Job Description

The Marketing Manager's responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a superior understanding of customers in UK schools, both qualitatively and also based on behavioural data, and segment existing customer base in schools for retention and acquisition marketing purposes
  • Identify key competitors in the UK Schools market and perform on-going competitor analysis to identify opportunities and risks, and position our offer as a compelling, winning proposition to the market
  • Manage and lead end-to-end marketing campaign- and customer-lifecycle management activities through all phases of the campaign, including creative development, audience segmentation and targeting, campaign execution, tracking response, follow up, reporting, etc., using the full marketing mix, delivering all marketing activities to the highest quality, on time, within budget to meet campaign KPIs
  • Work with Marketing Insights Manager to use qualitative and quantitative research techniques to provide insight and intelligence on how to improve the customer experience by working with internal departments and external agencies as appropriate
  • Work closely with Head of Marketing and colleagues in the team to align plans, messaging, share ideas, and ensure we provide a consistent customer experience
  • From time to time, engage in special projects and tasks that go beyond the remit of the role

The Successful Applicant

The Marketing Manager will ideally display:

  • A solid marketing background with a previous experience in a similar role, with strong project and campaign planning and management skills, including market segmentation and agency management
  • A proven track record in marketing campaign management and delivery, including budget management and ROI analysis of campaign success
  • An in-depth understanding of the key drivers of customer retention and acquisition, lifetime value and the impact on profitability
  • A good understanding of CRM platforms and technology
  • Excellent communication and networking skills with a strong sense of teamwork and an ability to deal with stakeholders at varying level of seniority
  • A passion for customer experience, including evidence of working on customer satisfaction and customer experience improvement programmes
