Established around 60 years ago and remaining family owned since its beginnings, the company has a fantastic heritage and a very unique feel to its culture. The company has a small office based in the Leatherhead, Surrey, area however operates on a global level and you will be working in a matrix structure, liaising with the wider global team and gaining exposure to senior stakeholders. Despite the companies small size, you will be taking ownership of three market leading personal care brands that each have a strong positioning in the UK and compete with the big players in personal care.

Taking the lead within marketing in the UK and Ireland, the Marketing Manager will report directly into and work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement the strategy for the three brands, be responsible for leading and delivering all aspects of the marketing plans and activation programme for the brands to achieve sales and profit targets. You will take the leadership of up to two direct reports and will be responsible for their training and development, plus you will lead cross functional teams both internally and with agency partners.
With substantial budgets and ATL support for all three of the brands you will manage, this is a hands on role and will provide an opportunity to get stuck in to all areas of the marketing mix.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Marketing Manager will have the following;
- Ideally educated to degree level
- Track record of brand management experience in blue chip FMCG / OTC organisation
- Previous exposure to having worked in hand in hand with global brand teams at a matrix level
- Previous success in managing agencies and external vendors
The successful candidate will be a talented marketer, a self starter who is willing to challenge the status quo, have excellent commercial acumen and strong analytical skills. You will be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, strong project management ability and fantastic PC skills.
