Job Description

  • Plan and control all plant scheduling activities. Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support customer service, inventory goals and capacity utilization/staffing requirements.
  • Organise and chair planning meetings

  • Track production performance and develop a process to anticipate and identify problems that could affect the schedule.

  • Liaise with customer service both on site and within the Group to manage and prioritise supply of product.

  • Lead efforts to develop, install and modify standard processes for the production planning function in line with changing needs of the business.
  • Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators and undertake root cause and counter-measure activity when off target.

  • Identify and be instrumental in continuous improvement activity within Operations.
  • Develop and maintain capacity tools to enable finite planning and allocation of resources in co-ordination with the Plant supervision
  • Develop, maintain and review plant inventory analysis in co-ordination with Supply chain team

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong grasp of Production Planning and Master Production Scheduling
  • Systems used: SAP (ERP & MRP), Excel
  • Understanding of LEAN techniques
