Job Description

You will have responsibility for the operational delivery of planned, reactive and associated projects from the maintenance contract of a high profile health care client. You will need to implement and review operational procedures to deliver the short, medium and long term plans for client contract against agreed milestones.

Reporting to the Account Director, you will be controlling a business in excess of £1 million in the management of the FM Hard Services delivery. This will include:

  • Managing PPM and Reactive works across multiple sites
  • Ensure best value management techniques within contract and development of contract delivery strategy
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
  • Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes
  • Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
  • Responsibility for the shift and day engineers and operatives, including recruitment, selection, training/development of staff and succession planning.
  • Responsible for area performance during mobilisation, steady state and demobilisation contract stages
  • Responsible for performance reporting against contractual performance indicators and awareness of recovery system
  • Responsible for risk management delivery

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for this role you must possess a strong operational understanding of facilities maintenance and building services within a client focused environment. You have significant demonstrable experience in managing M&E and be qualified in at least Electrical Engineering and ideally Health and Safety such as NEBOSH or IOSH. You will be an exceptional people manager and a role model to your team, motivating and empowering the workforce , enthusing people to be more pro-active, deal with people consistently and develop and maintain good working relationships. Experience in the Healthcare industry would be considered an advantage but not essential.
