About Our Client
My Client is an innovative continuous process manufacturer supplying a wealth of industries. They have built an enviable reputation for high volume-high quality products worldwide. Following a large amount of investment in the early 2000s they were able to purpose build their state of the art manufacturing facility, a project that has proven to be a huge success. In such a technical environment the continued development of the machinery and equipment is pivotal to the company's success.
Reporting directly to the engineering manager and operating across the entire upper tier COMAH facility the Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the reliability and improvement of all Mechanical assets.
Key responsibilities will include:
Identify and deliver CAPEX projects targeted toward improvements
Identify ageing plant and obsolescence and delivering solutions to reduce the effects
Managing the reliability, efficiency and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of assets
Manage any relevant sub-contract operations including permits to work
Support the development of the Maintenance Teams
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have worked within a manufacturing environment and will have a proactive and autonomous attitude towards work and a will to succeed is crucial.
The Ideal Mechanical Engineer will:
-Have a Degree or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
-Boast practical experience within an engineering environment- Heavy industry is a preference
-Have previous experience working as an authorised person for permit to work
-Be qualified in IOSH managing safely as a minimum
-Demonstrate a proven skill set in CAPEX projects
-Have experience in participating in Lean/CI/Six sigma projects
