Job Description

Key accountabilities include:

  • Ability to develop, monitor and control a significant open to buy
  • Strategically manage your portfolio to meet financial and inventory targets
  • Maximise revenue, margin and profit performance
  • Analyse and manage margin mix through stock turns, stock, assortment mix, markdown program and open to buy in consultation with buyers to maximise return on investment
  • Manage replenishment systems and set required parameters in order to optimise stock level
  • Deliver accurate information on a timely basis on which buyers can base decisions
  • Monitor and control ordering and quantification to ensure purchasing is according to plan.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will possess highly developed analytical skills and strong commercial acumen. You will possess previous planning working knowledge in a fast paced environment . You will demonstrate strong leadership skills, have the ability to develop strong strategic partnerships and be able to think laterally. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to plan for and execute negotiations on all merchandise related issues are also key requirements. You will have developed your PC skills across Word, Excel and Merchandise/Retail systems.
